Third class had a fun filled day on their school tour to Derg Isle Adventure Centre. The day was jam packed with activities such as obstacle courses, kayaking, zip lines and much more. It was a very enjoyable day out.
Second and third class have been thoroughly enjoying the Reading Challenge that is currently taking place. We have a book swap station in our classroom and we recently received a selection of new novels for the classroom library so everyone is excited about getting stuck into new books. As part of the challenge, we also did some buddy reading with our friends in Senior Infants. It was a really fun experience!
We have just completed a five week programme in conjunction with Junior Achievement Ireland. Our module was all about Our City and we learned so much about city planning, city zones, banking and advertising. Our volunteer Geri was excellent and we loved working with her.
We absolutely love art in this room and this activity was a huge success! Everyone loved using lots of different materials to create their own flowers.
We had great fun in second and third class recently when we learned about sinking and floating. We tried lots of different materials to see if they would sink or float and it was very enjoyable.
