Jackson Pollock Inspired Art

Second class have been learning all about the artist Jackson Pollock. This week we created our own artwork using his style of painting. We had great fun and are so proud of what we created!

Science Week Virtual Event

During science week we did lots of exciting things. One of these was an online virtual tour of the Teagasc research centre. We watched a short film which contained facts about grass, milk and cows. After that there was a live panel discussion with the scientists from the film and they answered our questions. It was really interesting and fun to watch!

November Remembrance Tree

During the month of November we are remembering all of our loved ones who have died. There is a school Tree of Remembrance and today the children in second class added their leaves to it. On the leaves they wrote the names of those they wish to remember and pray for and then they decorated them.

Skipping

In second class we love skipping! We have been learning how to skip and doing lots of practice recently. It is super fun and great exercise!

Science Week Lego Challenge

We had a great time in second class today when we got to build our own constructions from Lego. We could build anything we wanted so we chose houses, schools and a football pitch. It was the best fun!
