Ms McNamara's Second Class

We had so much fun during our Lá Glas this year. Everyone dressed up in beautiful clothes, we played our tin whistle tunes and we performed some Irish céilí dancing outside in the yard. We also did lovely rainbow art recently and we designed some nice shamrocks for our windows too.

First and second class recently went on a trip to Coole Park. We went on a guided tour of the park and we carried out a scavenger hunt where we had to search for lots of things such as flowers, birds and trees. We also looked out for lots of signs of spring. It was a great day out!

Today we had a visit from a lovely little calf and her owner. There was a competition across the whole school to name the calf and we were delighted in second class when Brendan won! He chose the name Delilah and we all agree that it is the perfect name for our new friend!
