Everyone in second class had so much fun when we got to use clay recently. We decided to make fishbowls and here are the finished products all painted.
Recently in second class, the children have been busy learning about weight and time. We had lots of fun weighing different items on the weighing scales and working out different times on our clocks. We have also been learning about length and have been doing lots of measuring around the school.
Second class are back doing hurling again this term. Everyone is working hard on improving their skills and we are all having lots of fun every Friday.
During recent science lessons, we have been learning about the properties of materials. We decided to use this information to construct a house that would be suitable for a mouse to live in. We had lots of fun building these houses.
We had lots of fun during Seachtain na Gaeilge this year. We learned songs and poems and performed them in front of the whole school with first class. We also worked really hard on two tin whistle tunes and we performed them too. We had a Lá Glas where we got to dress up in all our green clothes and we had a fun afternoon with first class where we played lots of great Irish games.
